Australian Mathematics Competition (AMC)
Hi people,
this is about AMC.
AUSTRALIAN MATHEMATICS COMPETITION for the WESTPAC AWARDS (AMC)
Format
The competition paper consists of thirty multiple-choice questions, which are ordered in increasing difficulty. Students are allowed 75 minutes to read and answer the questions. Calculators are not permitted.
Syllabus
There is no official declared syllabus which determines the scope of the problems presented to the students. Topics include arithmetic, number theory, combinatorics, geometry, measurement, algebra and probability.
Awards System
The AMC gives students external recognition of their achievements: All students receive an analysis sheet along with their certificate, which records their answers for each question, along with the correct answers. Cash or book prizes will be awarded to the top students.
Competition date: (THURSDAY) 6 AUGUST 2009
The entry fee for the AMC is S$10.00 per student. If you are interested, please look for me to register and pass me the money by 23 March 2009. I will remind everyone again when it's closer to the deadline.
Thanks for reading. Enjoy your run tomorrow =D
